Cook, Eat... Bacon


Today is the launch of cookeatlive.net, an instructional resource of cooking methods, awesome recipes, and whatever food related stuffs that make its way onto this page.  My name is Joel, a Johnson and Wales University graduate, chef, culinary instructor, and over all food enthusiast. My reason for doing this... well, um... I like to cook and eat. With that said, taking every possibility to share with anyone who cares, my passion for being in the kitchen. Eating too, I like doing that. That bacon just came out of the smoker FYI.

General thoughts I would like to share -

   -I hate fast food
   -I think the USDA should consider bacon as a food group
   -Daniel Boulud is a culinary god
   -Charcuterie is why salt and pork coexist
   -Pizza should never be made through a conveyor belt oven(*cough* pizza hut*cough*)
-Perfecting veal stock is a virtue
  -Freshly baked bread is a reason not to angrily run over squirrels or throw puppies into rivers
